8 x 10 inches. These are not a publicity stills, but test frames made to see if all of the elements of the shot worked together. Test frames were taken, by the special effects technicians who worked on the film, developed only to the point that they could analyze what needed to be done, and never "fixed." Usually, these tests were thrown away, but occasionally were kept as souvenirs. These tests were scratched, fade, and damaged, but in the early 1970’s some were rephotographed onto 35 mm negative, for publication in a book. These photographs was scanned directly from those negatives and digitally touched up. They are printed on glossy photo paper, and suitable for framing. | |
